What is edgeX?
edgeX is a decentralized exchange focused on perpetual futures trading. Unlike many DeFi venues that use automated market makers, edgeX runs an order book, which gives it a trading experience closer to a centralized exchange while keeping funds in self-custody.
The platform is built on StarkEx, an Ethereum Layer 2 engine that uses zero-knowledge rollups to settle trades. It launched its trading product in late 2024 and was incubated by the Amber Group. Independent oracle providers supply pricing, and users can onboard with an email-based wallet.
The EDGE token is the network's native asset, with a total supply of one billion. You can track the edgeX price and hold EDGE in a self-custody wallet.

How is edgeX priced?
edgeX trades 24 hours a day, and its price comes from supply and demand across many exchanges at once. The number above is a live, volume-weighted average of those markets. Because it trades continuously and worldwide, the price can move sharply within a single day. Past performance is no guarantee of future results, and nothing here is financial advice.
Where can I hold edgeX?
You can hold edgeX in any non-custodial wallet, which means you control the private keys rather than trusting an exchange. edgeX runs on the Ethereum network, which isn't integrated in the Zypto App yet. If you'd like it added, tweet @ZyptoApp on X.
