Which countries support crypto payments through Abroad?
Abroad is currently live in Brazil and Colombia. In Brazil, you can pay with Pix. In Colombia, you can pay with Nequi. More countries will be added soon.
Which crypto can I use to make payments with Pix or Nequi?
You’ll use USDC on the Stellar blockchain, which enables fast settlement and low-cost transactions. You can convert other assets in your Zypto wallet into USDC before paying.
Is this feature powered by Stellar?
Yes. The Abroad service in Zypto App runs on Stellar’s blockchain infrastructure, enabling cross-border, real-world payments with USDC.
Do I need a local bank account in Brazil or Colombia to use it?
No. You don’t need a bank account in either country. You can pay merchants using USDC straight from your Zypto App wallet – no intermediaries required.
How do I access Pix or Nequi payments in the app?
Open Zypto App, choose your wallet, tap on Exchange, and select abroad. Then scan the Pix or Nequi QR code provided by the merchant and approve the payment.
