What is Sophon?
Sophon is a consumer-focused layer 2 network built with ZKsync's ZK Stack and part of its Elastic Chain ecosystem. It uses zero-knowledge rollup technology to settle to Ethereum while aiming for low fees and account-abstraction features, targeting gaming, social, and other high-volume consumer apps.
SOPH is the network's native token, used to pay transaction fees and to participate in governance. The token launched in 2025 with a total supply of 10 billion, a large share of which was set aside for community airdrops and liquidity programs. The project has reported funding from several crypto investment firms.
