What is Venom?
Venom is a layer 1 blockchain that uses an asynchronous, dynamically sharded design intended to handle high transaction volumes. It is built to support applications such as stablecoins, tokenized real-world assets, and central bank digital currency projects.
VENOM is the network's native coin. It pays transaction fees, secures the chain through staking, and gives holders a say in on-chain governance. The mainnet and the VENOM coin launched in March 2024, after a public testnet that ran through 2023. As a relatively young layer 1, its ecosystem and validator set are still maturing.
You can follow the Venom price and hold VENOM in a self-custody wallet.
