What is Nillion?
Nillion is a privacy-focused computation network that lets data be stored and processed while it stays encrypted, an approach it calls blind computing. It draws on privacy techniques such as multi-party computation, fully homomorphic encryption, and secure hardware, so sensitive data can be used for AI and other applications without being exposed to any single node.
The network pairs a coordination layer with a privacy compute layer. NIL is the native token, used to pay for storage and computation, stake to secure the network and run nodes, and vote on governance. Founded in 2021, Nillion brought NIL to market in 2025, and the token later migrated from a Cosmos-based chain to an Ethereum ERC-20 standard.
As a newer infrastructure token, NIL carries the usual early-network uncertainty. You can track the Nillion price and hold NIL in a self-custody wallet.
