What is GAL (migrated to Gravity - G)?
Galxe, formerly known as Project Galaxy, is a Web3 credential and community platform where projects run on-chain quests and campaigns and users earn verifiable credentials for their activity. It launched in 2021 and grew into one of the larger credential data networks in the space.
GAL was the project's original token, used for governance and fees. Following community proposals, Galxe migrated GAL to a new unified token, G, at a rate of 60 G per GAL. G is the native token of Gravity, an omnichain network launched by Galxe, and is used for gas, governance, and staking across the wider ecosystem. The migration portal opened in July 2024, so GAL is a legacy token being phased out in favor of G.
