What is Euler?

Euler is a non-custodial lending protocol on Ethereum that lets users lend, borrow, and create custom money markets for ERC-20 tokens. It was built to extend lending beyond the most liquid assets, using a risk-based framework to support a wider range of tokens than older protocols. Euler v2, released in 2024, reworked the design into a modular system where anyone can deploy and connect lending vaults.

EUL is the governance token. Holders can delegate votes and steer protocol parameters, asset listings, and the DAO treasury, and the token also features in the protocol's fee mechanisms.

The original Euler launched in 2022 and suffered a major flash-loan exploit in March 2023, after which most funds were recovered and the protocol relaunched following extensive audits. That history is worth knowing before using it.

You can follow the Euler price and hold EUL in a self-custody wallet.

How is Euler priced?

Euler's price is set by supply and demand across global exchanges, around the clock. The figure above is a volume-weighted average across major markets, updated live. Because it trades continuously and worldwide, the price can move sharply within a single day. Past performance is no guarantee of future results, and nothing here is financial advice.

Where can I hold Euler?

You can hold Euler in any non-custodial wallet, which means you control the private keys rather than trusting an exchange. Zypto App is a non-custodial multichain wallet where you can hold EUL and swap it into 24,000+ assets. EUL isn't accepted as a payment method yet, so it can't be used for real-world spending in Zypto.
