What is CoinEx?
CoinEx Token (CET) is the utility token of the CoinEx cryptocurrency exchange. Within that ecosystem it is used to pay trading fees at a discount, to unlock VIP membership tiers, and to access various platform benefits. Over time its role has broadened beyond fee discounts into a wider part of the exchange's services.
CET launched in January 2018, originally as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, and later became the native gas token of CoinEx Smart Chain, the exchange's own Layer 1 network, where it pays transaction fees and supports governance. The supply is deflationary: a share of the platform's trading-fee income is used to buy back CET, and the repurchased tokens are periodically burned. As an exchange-linked token, its value is closely tied to the activity and standing of the CoinEx platform.
