What is Bitway?
Bitway is a Bitcoin-focused Layer 1 blockchain built to connect on-chain liquidity with yield and financing products. It describes its model as combining DeFi transparency with traditional-finance risk controls, and is designed to let people use existing Bitcoin wallets, supporting Taproot and Native SegWit addresses, without needing separate EVM wallets or bridging.
Its products include an on-chain wealth-management platform and a Bitcoin-compatible proof-of-stake chain aimed at native BTC financing and enterprise applications. The project evolved from an earlier effort known as Side Protocol.
