Brazilian Digital Token (BRZ) is a stablecoin pegged 1:1 to the Brazilian Real (BRL). It is issued by Transfero and designed to bring a Real-denominated digital asset on-chain for payments, trading, and DeFi use.
Each BRZ is intended to be backed by reserves held by independent reserve managers, with issuance subject to third-party audits. The token first launched in 2019 and is now multi-chain, available on Ethereum (as an ERC-20), BNB Smart Chain, Solana, Polygon, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Base, and several other networks, which lets users move a BRL-pegged asset across ecosystems.
