What is Aevo?
Aevo is a decentralized derivatives exchange focused on options, perpetual futures, and pre-launch token trading. It is built on its own Ethereum layer-2 rollup using the OP Stack, which lets it match orders off-chain for speed while settling trades on-chain for security. The platform was created by the team behind the Ribbon Finance options protocol.
AEVO is the platform's governance and utility token. Holders can stake it to receive sAEVO, which carries extra voting weight, trading-fee discounts, and access to rewards. The token launched in 2024 with a maximum supply of 1 billion, and it lives within the Ethereum ecosystem via Aevo's layer-2 network.
Because Aevo deals in leveraged derivatives, the trading it enables carries higher risk than spot trading, and the AEVO token is exposed to that competitive part of DeFi.
You can track the Aevo price and hold AEVO in a self-custody wallet.
