Your Horizen is secured by you
Zypto App is non-custodial. Your private keys are generated and stored on your device, Zypto never has access to your ZEN and every transaction is signed locally. For account access, every user sets a PIN with optional biometric security (fingerprint or face recognition). You can also filter your wallet to show only verified tokens, protecting you from random airdrops or unsafe assets. For offline hardware wallet security, pair with the Vault Key Card, card-based cold-wallet hardware that signs transactions over NFC, keys never touch the internet.
What is Horizen?
Horizen is a privacy-focused project that first launched in 2017. It originally ran its own UTXO mainchain alongside an EVM sidechain called EON, but it has since changed its architecture significantly. In July 2025, Horizen completed a migration that moved the ZEN token to Base, an Ethereum Layer 2, as a standard ERC-20 token. The legacy mainchain and the EON sidechain were both retired, and ZEN balances were transferred at a one-to-one ratio. The project now positions itself as a Layer 3 focused on compliance-aware privacy, with features such as view keys for auditability. ZEN is the network's token and is used across its privacy applications on Base. You can track the Horizen price and hold ZEN in a self-custody wallet.
