Your Metal DAO is secured by you
Zypto App is non-custodial. Your private keys are generated and stored on your device, Zypto never has access to your MTL and every transaction is signed locally. For account access, every user sets a PIN with optional biometric security (fingerprint or face recognition). What is Metal DAO?
Metal DAO is the governance layer of the Metal payments ecosystem, which includes the Metal Pay app for sending, receiving, and converting fiat and crypto. The DAO oversees Metal Dollar (XMD), a stablecoin backed by a basket of approved stablecoins, and lets holders propose and vote on protocol decisions. MTL is the ecosystem's utility and governance token. It is used to earn rewards on Metal Pay activity, unlock reduced trading fees for larger holders, and vote on matters such as which stablecoins enter the XMD basket. MTL launched in 2017 as an Ethereum ERC-20 token and has since been bridged to the Proton (XPR) chain used by the ecosystem. You can follow the Metal DAO price and hold MTL in a self-custody wallet.
