How Zypto App handles your keys
Zypto App is non-custodial for every asset it supports. Private keys are generated and stored on your device, Zypto never has access to your funds and every transaction is signed locally. For account access, every user sets a PIN with optional biometric security (fingerprint or face recognition). You can also filter your wallet to show only verified tokens, protecting you from random airdrops or unsafe assets. For offline hardware wallet security, pair with the Vault Key Card, card-based cold-wallet hardware that signs transactions over NFC, keys never touch the internet.
What is Harmony?
Harmony is a layer 1 blockchain that is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine, so developers can deploy Ethereum-style smart contracts and applications on it. Its design centers on sharding, which splits the validator set and the network state into parallel groups so transactions can be processed at the same time rather than one queue at a time. The goal is faster confirmation and lower fees than running directly on Ethereum. The network uses an Effective Proof of Stake consensus that spreads stake across validators to encourage decentralization, with around two second finality. ONE is the native coin: it pays transaction fees, is staked to secure the network, and is used in governance. Harmony launched its mainnet in 2019.
