DEAPcoin (DEP) is the utility token behind PlayMining, a play-to-earn GameFi and Web3 entertainment platform operated by the Singapore-based company Digital Entertainment Asset. The platform lets users earn and spend tokens across its games, NFT marketplace, and gamified tasks. DEP is used to buy and trade NFTs on the PlayMining marketplace, to reward players for in-game activity, and as the in-ecosystem currency for its titles. The project launched in 2018 and originally issued DEP as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, with the token also bridged to other networks for trading.
