Catizen (CATI) is the token behind a cat-themed gaming platform that runs as a mini-app inside the Telegram messaging app. Players raise and merge virtual cats to build a cat city, with tap-to-earn and play-to-earn mechanics, and the project reports a user base in the tens of millions drawn from Telegram's reach. CATI is the ecosystem's utility token. It is used for in-game purchases, for staking to earn rewards, and for sharing in revenue from new game releases, with governance functions planned. It has a total supply of 1 billion tokens, the first portion of which was distributed to eligible players through an airdrop.
