Your ALEO is secured by you
Zypto App is non-custodial. Your private keys are generated and stored on your device, Zypto never has access to your ALEO and every transaction is signed locally. For account access, every user sets a PIN with optional biometric security (fingerprint or face recognition). You can also filter your wallet to show only verified tokens, protecting you from random airdrops or unsafe assets. For offline hardware wallet security, pair with the Vault Key Card, card-based cold-wallet hardware that signs transactions over NFC, keys never touch the internet.
What is ALEO?
Aleo (ALEO) is a layer-1 blockchain built around zero-knowledge cryptography. It lets developers deploy applications that are private by default, moving smart contract execution off-chain and using zero-knowledge proofs to verify results without exposing the underlying data. The design targets use cases in identity, finance, and gaming where privacy matters. ALEO is the native coin of the Aleo network. It is used to pay transaction and execution fees, to reward provers who generate the zero-knowledge proofs, and for staking that secures the chain. Aleo's mainnet launched in September 2024, so it is a relatively young network still building out its ecosystem and developer base. As with any newer layer-1, adoption and tooling are still maturing.
