Sky is the governance token of a major decentralized finance protocol, having grown out of the system formerly known as MakerDAO. The protocol is best known for issuing a US dollar stablecoin backed by on-chain collateral, and SKY holders help steer how that system is run.
Governance covers decisions such as collateral types, stability settings, and how protocol revenue is handled. The token operates on Ethereum and sits at the heart of one of DeFi's longest-running lending and stablecoin platforms.
Because it governs a large collateral-backed system, SKY plays a structural role in decentralized finance. You can check the Sky price and hold SKY in a self-custody wallet.
