什麼是 Siacoin？

Siacoin (SC) is the native token of Sia, a decentralized cloud storage network. Instead of relying on a single provider, Sia turns spare hard drive space into a marketplace: people who need storage rent capacity from hosts around the network, and files are split, encrypted, and spread across many machines.

SC is the medium of exchange inside this system. Renters pay hosts in SC through smart contracts that enforce the storage agreement, so payment only completes when the host proves it is still holding the data.

Sia is one of the older decentralized storage projects, first announced in 2014 and launched in 2015 on its own proof-of-work blockchain. It has a long operating history and a clear, single-purpose utility.
