Kaia is a public layer-1 blockchain launched in 2024 following the merger of Klaytn and Finschia, two established Asian blockchain networks. By combining their ecosystems, Kaia inherited a substantial user base and a set of integrations across messaging and consumer apps.

The KAIA token is the native asset used for gas fees, staking, and governance on the network. The chain uses a delegated proof-of-stake model and delivers fast block times, making it suitable for payment apps, gaming, and consumer-facing dApps.
