Avantis is a decentralized perpetuals exchange built on Base, Coinbase's Ethereum Layer-2 network. It lets traders take leveraged long and short positions on crypto assets as well as real-world assets such as forex and commodities, with liquidity aggregated into a single USDC vault that backs the markets.

AVNT is the protocol's utility and governance token. It can be staked to earn protocol rewards and fee discounts, and is used in governance and loyalty programs. Avantis launched its trading platform in 2024 and introduced the AVNT token in 2025, with backing from several venture investors.
