什么是Songbird？

Songbird (SGB) is the canary network for Flare, an EVM-based blockchain focused on cross-chain data and interoperability. A canary network is a fully operational chain that mirrors the main network and is used to test protocols, governance changes, and applications under real economic conditions before they reach Flare. Songbird went live on September 16, 2021.

SGB is the network's native utility token. Holders can delegate SGB to data providers in the Flare Time Series Oracle (FTSO), which supplies price and time-series data on-chain, and accurate providers earn SGB rewards. SGB is also used for transaction fees and for voting on network governance proposals.

Because Songbird exists to harden features ahead of their Flare deployment, it functions as a live proving ground rather than a finished product, and its roadmap is shaped by SGB holder governance.
