什么是Kava？

Kava is a layer-1 blockchain that combines two execution environments in a single network. One side is built with the Cosmos SDK and connects to the wider Cosmos ecosystem through the IBC protocol, while the other is EVM compatible so Ethereum developers can deploy their applications. This co-chain design aims to bring together the interoperability of Cosmos and the tooling of Ethereum, with a focus on decentralized finance.

The KAVA token is the network's native asset. It is used for staking, where validators and delegators help secure the chain and earn a share of fees, and it carries governance rights over network proposals. The project started around 2017 and took its current co-chain form in 2022.
