Non-Playable Coin (NPC) is a memecoin built around the "NPC" Wojak internet meme, the blank-faced character used online to describe people who follow the crowd. It frames itself as a cultural art project rather than a product, with the team stating openly that there is no roadmap and no promised utility.

NPC is unusual in pairing a fungible token with an NFT format: a holder can convert one NPC token into an NPC NFT and back again through the project's transform app, then customize that character with traits. The total supply was set to roughly match the global human population at launch.

The token launched in July 2023 on Ethereum and later expanded to other chains including Solana, Base, and BNB Chain. Like most memecoins it carries no underlying cash flow and trades on attention and community, so prices can be highly volatile.
