什麼是 Helium？

Helium is a decentralized wireless network. Individuals and businesses run hotspots that provide coverage, and in return earn rewards for helping build out the network. It covers both Internet of Things connectivity, using the LoRaWAN standard for low-power devices, and mobile data.

HNT is the network's native token, first launched in 2019. To send data over the network, usage is paid in Data Credits, a separate utility unit pegged to the US dollar and created by burning HNT, so demand for connectivity ties back to the token. In April 2023 Helium moved its operations onto the Solana blockchain, and HNT now lives there as a Solana token.
