מה זה Zilliqa?

Zilliqa is a layer-1 blockchain that was among the first public networks to put sharding into production. Sharding splits the network into groups of nodes that process transactions in parallel, which lets throughput grow as the network adds capacity. The project later added Ethereum Virtual Machine compatibility, so developers can deploy standard Solidity contracts.

ZIL is the network's native coin. It pays transaction fees, rewards validators who stake to help secure the chain, and gives stakers a say in governance. Zilliqa came out of research at the National University of Singapore, raised funds in a 2017 token sale as an ERC-20 token, then swapped those tokens 1:1 for native ZIL when its own mainnet went live in 2019.
