About Stasis EURS

STASIS Euro (EURS) is a stablecoin pegged to the euro, designed to provide a secure and efficient means of transacting with digital currency while maintaining the stability of the euro. Issued by the Malta-based fintech company STASIS, EURS was launched in 2018 on the Ethereum blockchain, marking it as the first euro-backed stablecoin.

The token is fully collateralized with cash, backed by euro bank deposits, ensuring a 1:1 value ratio with the euro. This stablecoin is integrated into various blockchains beyond Ethereum, including Polygon and Algorand, enhancing its accessibility and reducing transaction costs.

STASIS Euro has been recognized for its transparency, with regular audits conducted by BDO Malta and daily statements provided to ensure the backing of all tokens in circulation.

EURS aims to bridge the gap between traditional finance and decentralized finance (DeFi) by offering a stable alternative to USD-backed stablecoins within the digital asset sector. It supports a wide range of users, from businesses to individual traders, allowing them to manage digital currencies effectively.

By 2023, EURS had facilitated over 5.5 billion euros in on-chain transactions across 175 countries, establishing itself as a leading asset in the euro stablecoin market. The stablecoin’s ecosystem includes liquidity providers, custodians, exchanges, and payment platforms, which support its widespread use and integration into various financial systems.
