Using Hive in Zypto App: Create or Link Your Hive Account – Unleash Payments, Feeless Transfers and MultiChain Swaps by Zypto

Today we’re featuring a brand new YouTube tutorial from Decentralized Creative – a dedicated Zyptonian and Zypto App user – who walks through linking a Hive account inside the app.

Alongside the video, we’ve included step-by-step instructions on how to create a new Hive account directly in Zypto App.

Dive In To Hive x Zypto

This follow-up comes right after the launch of Hive blockchain integration in Zypto App, which brings feeless transactions with Hive and HBD, full multi-chain support, and payment capabilities across the Zypto ecosystem.

That means you can now use Hive and HBD to load virtual and physical crypto cards, pay bills, top up mobile data and airtime – and, coming soon, shop global brands in our new crypto gift card marketplace.

Quick Start, Adding Hive in Zypto

1. Open the Zypto App and go to your DeFi wallet. Create one if you are new, or import your existing wallet.
2. From the wallet screen, tap ‘Receive’ to view your blockchain addresses. You will see Hive in the list, but no user yet.
3. Tap Hive, then choose to create a new Hive account or import an existing one.
4. If you import an existing Hive account, it links to this DeFi wallet in the UI for convenience. If you change device or reinstall later, you will need to re-import both the DeFi wallet and the Hive account.
5. If you create a new Hive account from your DeFi wallet seed, it permanently links to that seed. In the future you can import both the multichain wallet and the Hive account together with a single seed.
6. Choose how to fund your account creation. Multiple options are available, including paying the creation fee with another cryptocurrency. For example, you can create a Hive account using SOL if you hold Solana.

Using Payments With HIVE and HBD

Hive is now accepted for all Zypto payment products. Here’s an example of how to apply for and top up a virtual VISA card:

1. Open the Cards and Payments tab at the bottom of the app.
2. Apply for a virtual card, complete KYC, then wait for issuing bank approval, this is normally a matter of minutes.
3. Once approved, tap Top Up. Choose HIVE or HBD, select the amount, pick the account to use, then confirm. In moments, your card balance updates and is ready for online or in-store use where supported.
4. In the same tab you can also pay bills and send mobile top ups where available, now with HIVE and HBD accepted.
