Its mainnet launched in 2018, and the project describes itself as one of the first blockchains to use this kind of signature in production.

QRL is the native token used to pay transaction fees and to take part in securing the network. The chain launched with a temporary proof-of-work phase and later moved toward proof-of-stake.
