Oasis splits the network into a consensus layer and an execution layer. The consensus layer uses a proof-of-stake, Byzantine fault tolerant protocol run by validators who stake ROSE, and it reaches instant finality, meaning a finalized block is not reverted. Smart contracts ParaTimes नामक execution environments में अलग से चलते हैं, इसलिए transaction प्रसंस्करण consensus से स्वतंत्र रूप से बढ़ सकता है।
